Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 4, 2026

1. Overview

Keepic ("we", "our", or "us") helps you organise, search and clean up your photo library. Keepic analyses your photos on your device. Your photos, and everything Keepic learns about them, stay on your device: we do not receive them, we do not run servers that process them, and Keepic has no accounts, advertising or tracking. If you send us feedback, we receive what you write, as described in section 4. This Policy explains what the App stores, the few network connections it makes, and your choices. By using the App you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

Photo library: Keepic reads the photos you give it access to. It does not copy them anywhere. AI index: for each photo, Keepic stores a short description, tags, a category, text it recognised in the photo, a quality score, detected problems (for example blurry or too dark), a compact visual fingerprint used for search and for finding similar photos, and the photo's date. Your settings and decisions: your preferences (categories, rules and notes), photos you moved to another category or chose to keep, reminders and display settings. All of this is kept in the App's private storage on your device and is never sent to us. It may be included in your device backup (iCloud or Google) if you have backups turned on; we have no access to those backups. Deleting the App deletes this data from your device.

3. How Analysis Works

On iPhone, Keepic uses Apple Intelligence (Apple's on-device foundation model) and Apple's Vision framework, which run on your device. On Android, Keepic uses Gemini Nano through Google's on-device AICore service where your phone supports it, and Google ML Kit's on-device features (text recognition, language identification and image labelling). Search uses a search model that runs on your device. No photo, description, recognised text or search query is sent to us. Apple's and Google's on-device services are part of your device's software and are subject to Apple's and Google's own terms and privacy policies.

4. Network Connections

Keepic contacts our servers only when you send feedback. The App uses the network only for the following: • Feedback: when you use Settings → Send feedback, the App sends us your message, the category you chose, your email address if you enter one, and, unless you turn it off, diagnostics (app version and build, platform and system version, language, app edition and analysis mode). The request is signed with a random identifier the App creates when it is installed; it is not linked to your name, your Apple or Google account or your device hardware. Our server keeps a record of that identifier with request counts, and each report keeps its first 8 characters so reports from the same installation can be grouped. Our hosting provider also logs technical request data such as the IP address. If you choose to email us instead, we receive your email together with the app version, system and language the App adds to it. No photos or library contents are ever sent. • Search model download: the on-device search model is delivered by the App Store (Apple) on iPhone or by Google Play on Android, in the same way as app content. Apple and Google handle this download under their own policies. • Google ML Kit (Android only): the first time you search in a language other than English, the App may download that language's translation model from Google (on Wi-Fi). ML Kit may also fetch its configuration from Google and send Google diagnostic and usage information about the ML Kit features (such as which feature was used, how long it took, the device model and the app's identifier). This information does not include your photos, the text in them or your search queries. See Google's ML Kit terms at https://developers.google.com/ml-kit/terms. • Gemini Nano (Android only): the model is installed and updated by Google's AICore system service, not by Keepic. • Links you open: web pages such as this Policy or the App's store page open in your browser. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking software.

5. Permissions

• Photos: to analyse and show your library. You can give access to all photos or to selected photos only, and change this at any time in your device settings. • Photo location (Android): to show where a photo was taken in its info view. Location stays on your device. • Notifications (optional): for cleanup reminders and to tell you when an overnight analysis has finished. • Background processing: to analyse photos overnight while your device is charging, if you choose this. Keepic never deletes a photo without your confirmation. Deleted photos go to your device's Recently Deleted album or trash, where you can restore them for a limited time.

6. Crash Reports

If you have chosen to share diagnostics with Apple or Google, they may provide us with crash reports and aggregated performance information under their terms. These reports do not include your photos or their analysis.

7. No Sale or Sharing of Personal Data

We do not sell, rent, share or trade personal information. We do not receive your photos or the information Keepic creates about them. Feedback is stored with Google Cloud (Cloud Run and Cloud Storage, in the United States), which processes it on our behalf as our service provider.

8. Data Retention and Your Rights

Because your data stays on your device, you control it: you can change Keepic's photo access in your device settings, re-analyse your photos or reset your preferences in the App, and delete all of Keepic's data by deleting the App. The only information we hold is the feedback you send us and the installation identifier described in section 4. We keep feedback reports for up to two years, then delete them. To access or delete your feedback, email support@zestworks.io with the email address you used or the approximate date you sent it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under data protection law; contact us with any request or question. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

10. Security

Your data is protected by your device's own security, such as its passcode, encryption and app sandboxing. Keep your device's software up to date and protect it with a passcode. No method of storage is completely secure.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy, for example when the App gains new features. We will update the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, tell you in the App. If you continue to use the App after an update, the updated Policy applies.

12. Governing Language

This Privacy Policy is provided in English, which is the authoritative version. Any translation is provided for convenience only; if there is any conflict, the English version prevails.
